Well Urned Productions is a NJ based theatrical group that crafts not-for-profit professional theater.  We are dedicated to cultivating exceptional theatrical works that provide artists with an innovative process to showcase their talents in professional Off Broadway venues.  A portion of the proceeds from each production is allocated for donation to charitable organizations.

OUR PILLARS OF EXCELLENCE

Using entertainment as our vehicle, we will:

·         Raise awareness of charitable causes through production dedications and funding.

·         Enrich the community through the facilitation of specialized training and educational programs

·         Offer an opportunity for performing artists to experience the entire process of theatrical production

·         Provide other theatrical facilities with PROFESSIONAL technical services at NOT FOR PROFIT rates

SO, WHAT'S WITH THE URN???

The Urn is a vase, an open container or vessel, and can be made from a number of materials including porcelain, ceramics and glass.  Vases have a certain anatomy.  The lowest is the foot, a distinguishable base to the piece, resting atop the body is the shoulder where the body curves inward.  Then comes the neck where the vase is given more height.  Then the lip where the vase flares back out at the top.  To finish, many vases are also given handles as decorative motifs and convenience.

Urns have been decorated to extend the beauty of their contents.  They hold what is valuable to us , and have been used to contain the elements that nourish our souls.  Urns hold the contents of our lives: flowers, ashes of loved ones, oils, medicines, water.  They have been used as a source of comfort to serve coffee and tea to our families and guests.  We give them as gifts, and we display them in our offices and homes.  They tell our history.

In mathematics, an ‘urn problem’ is defined as a thought experiment in probability theory.  In the broadest sense, it is the use of an imagined scenario to help us understand the way things really are.  Understanding comes from the contemplation of well structured hypothetical questions that employ existential reasoning and the basic “What if…?”

Well Urned Productions embraces the mathematical philosophy of the “what if” as applied to theatre and community.  What if our productions not only raise public awareness, but are able to move an audience to nourish and smooth the progress of necessary change toward the betterment of society?  This is Well Urned Productions: a Strong Foundation embodying artistry and self reliance through inward reflection bringing new and exciting drama and the ability to provide hope and therapy in the form of charitable contributions.
