HELLO! Welcome to Well Urned Productions!

Well Urned Productions is a NJ based theatrical production company that produces not-for-profit professional theater. We are dedicated to cultivating dynamic and gripping theatrical works; to provide artists with an innovative approach that showcases their talents in professional Off-Broadway venues, and to raise community awareness through our programs.

OUR PILLARS OF EXCELLENCE

All Well Urned Productions’ creative endeavors reserve a portion of the proceeds for donation to various charitable organizations. Using entertainment as our foundation, we will:

  • support other charities through educational programs and dedications.
  • enrich the community through charitable acts and specialized training programs.
  • offer an outlet for performing artists to experience the process of producing, staging and marketing their own shows from conception to completion.
  • provide other theatrical facilities with PROFESSIONAL technical services at NOT FOR PROFIT rates

So...WHAT'S WITH THE URN?

The Urn is a vase: an open container or vessel. It can be made from a number of materials including porcelain, ceramics and glass.

Vases have a certain anatomy: Lowest is the foot, a distinguishable base to the piece. Next, the body, which forms the main and often largest portion of the piece. Resting atop the body is the shoulder, where the body curves inward. Then the neck, where the vase is given more height. Lastly, the lip, where the vase flares back out at the top. Many vases are also given handles.

Urns have always been decorated to extend the beauty of its contents. They hold what is valuable to us: from flowers and centerpieces to the ashes of loved ones. It has been used to nourish our souls: from oils and medicines to water or to serve coffee and tea to our family and guests. They have been famously used to depict scenes and tell stories in every culture. We give them as gifts; and we display them proudly in our homes and offices. They tell a story: of where we are going and where we have been.

In mathematics, an 'urn problem' is "a thought experiment in probability theory"; In the broadest sense, it is the use of an imagined scenario to help us understand the way things really are. The understanding comes through reflection on the situation; well-structured hypothetical questions that employ "What if?" reasoning and have been used in philosophy, physics, and other fields since the days of Galileo.

These are what make up Well Urned Productions: A Strong Foundation, embodying artistry and faith, inward reflection to bring new and exciting drama, and the ability to bring hope and therapy through charitable contribution.

WHAT THEY SAID: “A splendid production!” “I was totally engaged!” “I adored Michael Hagins’ Paul. I understood his character’s reasons for his actions and was greatly moved. It was wonderful to watch.” “An amazing supporting cast” “I commend directors Jon Ciccarelli and Leticia Diaz on jobs well done.” --Anna Klinger, NYC Filmmaker “I was most impressed! All members of the ensemble took what other actors would consider ‘nothing’ roles and blew them up.” ”I commend them for their great work.” --David Corkran, Actor – HB Studios “I was impressed with the professionalism of the production. Great space and set. There were so many great performances …a very impressive display of talent.” --Andrew Corkin – Patron “This is a great play.
